"Luckily I had the good fortune to meet Adrian from Magefix on the WordPress forums. I had been unable to login to my website and all I got was a blank page. My host was no help even after trying to restore several backups on the server. Adrian was able to quickly diagnose the problem by providing the steps for me to manually update the core files and folders of my site.
